WSASL Summer Clash: Same Fun, New Name!
Winston Salem Area Soccer League (WSASL) recently rebranded its long-standing summer tournament as the WSASL Summer Clash, an 8v8 event featuring both competitive and recreational divisions.
This year’s Clash On July 19–20, included 5 competitive teams and 4 recreational teams, with hopes to grow those numbers in 2026. The Wombats took home the competitive title, while City claimed the rec division crown.
The tournament raises funds for the Children’s Cancer Support Program at Atrium Baptist Health. Last year, the event raised $2,500 for the cause. WSASL wishes to thank all of its sponsors and supporters! The regular WSASL Fall season kicks off September 6.
